Bay Area Discovery Museum

The Bay Area Discovery Museum is a one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor children’s museum at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge at Fort Baker in Sausalito. Dedicated to developing childhood creativity, we nurture future generations of creative thinkers and innovators. With this emphasis on creativity through play, we encourage children ages 6 months to 8 years to develop into curious, creative,adventurous lifelong learners and explorers. The Museum’s unique programs feature hands-on-art, science and environmental exhibitions,performances, special events, and cultural festivals…all with the focus on fun! Use your hands and ears to explore the creations of Bay Area sound artists in Play It By Ear, pilot a boat or train in Bay Hall, or splash in the outdoor Rocky Shore in Lookout Cove.
